Short-tailed Horned Lizard
Scientific Name: Phrynosoma Braconnieri
As the name indicates this horned lizard shares an articulated shortened tail with two other of the Mexican species, which will appear below. It is found in open arid and semiarid basins including exotic thorn scrub and at higher elevations (approximately 7000 feet) in the southern Mexican states of Puebla and Oaxaca. Not a whole lot is known about this species as their range is small and they are rather elusive.
